Gear Aid Tenacious Tape is a great general purpose repair tape for quick repairs on drysuits, sleeping pads, and reinforcing field repairs. For use on Alpacka Raft (and other packraft brands), this tape has a bit of stretch, so it doesn’t work well as an outer repair on the tubes (use Tyvek, Patch N Go or seal with Aquaseal UV or FD on the outer). It does however work great as a backing on the uncoated (inside) of raft tubes, to give a repair extra strength and structure.

For wilderness expedition, the Pack Raft Australia team recommend carrying and know how to use a variety of repair/maintenance items, to assist in field repairs, should they occur. A complete field repair kit to tackle a variety of scenarios can be the difference between having an adventure, not a misadventure.
