Ortlieb Drybag Classic
The Ortlieb Drybag Classic is the original waterproof drybag that built Ortlieb's reputation as the global benchmark for genuinely waterproof gear. Made in Germany from heavy-duty PD350 PVC-coated polyester with welded seams and a secure roll-top closure, the Classic keeps your essentials bone dry through every rapid, swim, downpour, or unexpected dunk.

Made in Germany
Built to handle the punishment of packrafting, kayaking, hiking, and bikepacking, this is gear that's been proven by paddlers and adventurers for decades. The roll-top design with reinforced buckle creates a 100% waterproof seal when rolled three to four times and clipped, and the durable PVC fabric resists abrasion against rocks, branches, and gear inside your raft.
Why a slightly heavier drybag is worth it
There's a reason we stick with Ortlieb. On one end of the market, ultralight drybags in silnylon or Dyneema save grams but puncture more easily on sharp rocks, branches or just simply wear out much quicker. Once punctured, they're no longer waterproof. On the other end, cheap PVC bags can survive the abuse but feel stiff and plasticky, and don't pack down well when empty.
The Ortlieb Classic sits in the sweet spot. The PD350 fabric is flexible enough to roll down tight when not need,, but tough enough to handle years of rocks, branches, and general abrasion without giving up. We've stocked plenty of drybag brands over the years, and the Otleib Classic is the one we keep coming back to. Not the lightest, not the cheapest, just a properly good bag.
