BaxGear River Rescue throw bags
The BaxGear River Rescue Throw Rope is an essential river safety item for paddlers looking out for their mates and peers. Up your on river safety in both style and function.
Each BaxGear throw bag is individually handmade in Victoria, Australia, with a unique and one-off fabric print/colour combination. Paired with 20meters of top quality River Rescue Rope with Spectra (aka Dyneema) core and polyester sheath, all combining for a strong, durable and lightweight throw rope system.
These River Rescue Throw Ropes in 20m length gives ample reach to an opposing river bank, or allows for a quick recoil and re-throw for missed targets. With a quick release waist buckle, this rescue bag is designed to be worn around the waist, for quick and easy deployment when required.
BaxGear throw bags are a multi purpose, river rescue throw rope during the day and also make an excellent extended drying line to hang wet gear, or to string up a tarp back at river camp.
Pack Raft Australia recommends paddlers familiarise and train in the proper use of river rescue throw ropes and associated river rescue techniques. Some river rescue scenarios do not require deploying a river rescue throw rope. Rescuer judgement and evaluation of each individual situation should be used. Throw bags and water rescue ropes are not designed and/or intended to be used in climbing or vertical rescue. Inspection of river rescue ropes and knots should be completed periodically and worn or deformed ropes replaced when required.
