1 unit available. This is a highly regarded and sort after, rare earlier model Alpacka Raft packraft, which was the forefront of fast Adventure Racing packrafts at release. A very quick tandem packraft to paddle, this particular model’s hull is made out of bomber stiff, 400Denier Vectran fabric in Black (a super strong material used in Sail’s) with a 840D ballistic Nylon floor. The design of this packraft is for two paddlers, with rear paddler either sitting up on the raft air chamber, or both paddlers kneeling with legs either side of the middle kneeling pillow. If intending to paddle moving water, Alpacka recommended paddlers wear knee pads for protecting limbs from bumps and scrapes with river rocks in moving water.

If paddling solo, this could also be used as a fishing packraft for lake/estuary paddling and can carry a fair amount of gear. The centre kneeling pillow can be fully removed (installed into the raft via two long YKK zippers and 4 metal hooks), leaving an open floor configuration if desired.

PRA has upgraded the valve system to Alpacka Raft’s current Temper Assist Valves (TAV) for ease of use and quicker inflation of the packraft’s main air chamber, and also on the inflatable centre kneeling pillow (Note: This packraft comes with the centre kneeling style pillow. Alpacka Raft’s Platform Style Seats could be easily retrofitted in the Gnu, if that style of seat was desired. Available separately). The floor has number of professional fabric patches installed by PRA and shows general river wear. No patching on the rafts hull.
